Retail Franchise wins Bookseller of the Year Award

Dymocks Garden City in Perth has won the 2010 National Chain Bookseller of the Year Award. This was announced at the Australian Book Industry Awards, which were held in the Paddington Town Hall in Sydney.

The annual awards, which are voted by booksellers and publishers, are held to pay tribute to the industry’s most promising and outstanding authors, publishers, illustrators and booksellers of Australia.

Ann Poublon, the proud owner of the Perth-based franchise business opportunity, has won the prestigious award for the third time. “This award is accepted with great humility and we’re proud to be part of this wonderful industry. I’d like to thank my hardworking team who have such dedication and passion for books. This passion has allowed us to deliver expert advice and greater value than ever to the Perth community,” she commented.

Dymocks CEO Don Grover is extremely pleased with the results: “It is a great honour to receive these awards. To be recognised by our industry colleagues and peers is an enormous achievement for Dymocks. These awards are a testament to our commitment to offering the best-book buying experience to the Australian community.”
