Franchise Legal is the first specialized franchise lawn firm in Australia to embrace its industry by actually adopting the model. The new-born legal franchise business opportunity, which was founded in 2009 by Ilya Furman, welcomed its first franchisee a couple of weeks ago.
With over 10 years of experience in franchising, Furman is confident that his franchise will become a new school law firm in the industry. “At Franchise Legal, I wanted to be in a position to tell my clients that I practice what I preach – I am in the business of franchising,” he commented. Before he started his own company, Furman first worked as an in-house legal advisor for franchise giants like Choice Hotels and Jim’s Group.
A while ago she decided to franchise her own company in order to be able to take on the rest of the nation: “The large majority of franchisors are either national or want to grow nationally and they expect national representation from their lawyer. Partnering with experienced franchise lawyers in other states is clearly the most effective way for Franchise Legal to meet the demands of its clients. Sydney and Melbourne are the top two markets in the country, however, we plan to grow the network in Perth and Brisbane also over the next 12 months."
Heath Adams, owner of the first franchise, which is based in Sydney, is a skilled franchise lawyer who noticed the great potential in the new business opportunity: “The ability to partner with an experienced franchise lawyer in Ilya Furman was a major plus. Another plus was the leverage that being a franchisee offers. The reach of our combined organisation means that I can now service a broader range of clients and businesses helping them expand and prosper”.
